Brewdoku Ask for a launch email

Privacy policy

Last updated: 29 September 2026

Brewdoku is not released yet. This policy describes the app as it is built. If anything changes before or after launch, this page changes first.

In short

  • The app has no account, no sign in and no server of its own. It sends me nothing.
  • Your progress and settings are saved on your iPhone.
  • Ads come from Google AdMob. They may be personalised only if you agree in Google’s consent form (where the law requires that form) and allow tracking when Apple asks. Otherwise the ads are not personalised.
  • The Remove ads purchase goes through Apple. I never see your payment details.
  • This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics.

Who I am

Brewdoku is made by BlockBrewer, a one-person business in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce no. 99123797). I am the controller for the little personal data I handle myself, which in practice is email you send me. Contact: contact@blockbrewer.nl.

Contact details

BlockBrewer, 2991 WV Barendrecht, the Netherlands. Chamber of Commerce no. 99123797. Email contact@blockbrewer.nl. This is also the point of contact for questions under the EU Digital Services Act.

What the app stores

Levels, beans, hints, your Daily Brews, streak and stamps, and your settings are saved on your iPhone. Brewdoku does not send them anywhere: the app has no account, no cloud save and no server of its own. An iPhone backup you make yourself, for example in iCloud, may include them, like the data of any app. Deleting the app deletes them from the phone.

Play statistics

This version collects no play statistics. The app contains code for anonymous play counts, but it is switched off and has nowhere to send anything, so there is no setting for it. If that ever changes, this policy changes first, the counts will be anonymous, and sharing them will be off unless you turn it on.

Ads

The app shows ads between puzzles and, only when you ask for one, short videos for a reward. They come from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google’s software on your phone may process device and advertising identifiers, approximate location based on your IP address, information about your device and how you interact with ads. Google acts as an independent controller for this; see policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences with parental guidance.

Consent

In your first session the app asks nothing and loads no ads, unless you ask for a video yourself. From your second session, where the law requires it (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), you first see Google’s consent form (the User Messaging Platform). There, ads rely on your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)), and you can change or withdraw it any time in Settings, Privacy choices. After that, on iPhone, a short note from me explains the next step and Apple asks whether ads may use your activity from other companies’ apps and websites (App Tracking Transparency). Ads may be personalised only if you agree in Google’s form, where it is shown, and allow tracking when Apple asks. If you don’t, the ads you see are not personalised. The game works exactly the same either way.

Purchases

Remove ads is a one-time purchase through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles the payment and tells the app only whether you own it. I never receive your payment details.

Reminders and sharing

The daily reminder is a notification scheduled on your iPhone itself; it is off until you turn it on. When you share a Daily Brew result, the app hands a few lines of text to your iPhone’s share sheet, and you choose where it goes.

Report an ad

Report an ad in Settings opens your own mail app with an email to me that includes the time the last ad was shown and the app version. Nothing is sent unless you send that email.

This website

brewdoku.app sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads nothing from other companies: fonts, images and the video come from the site itself. The site is hosted by Netlify, which processes standard request data such as your IP address, the time and the page you asked for, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Email to me

If you email me, I use your address and message only to answer you, and I delete the conversation within 12 months after it ends. If you ask for a launch email, I keep your address only to send that one email, and delete it afterwards. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering your question (GDPR article 6(1)(f)), and for the launch email your consent (article 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw by asking.

Outside the EU

Google and Netlify may process data in the United States. They rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses for that transfer. My own email is handled by my mail provider in the EU.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and erase personal data I hold about you, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time (for ads: Settings, Privacy choices). Write to contact@blockbrewer.nl. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority in your country.

Children

Brewdoku is made for a general audience. It is not aimed at children and is not in the Kids category. I do not knowingly collect data from children, and the app itself collects none from anyone. Ads are limited to content rated for general audiences with parental guidance.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version is published on this page with a new date.
