Restore your purchase
- Open Brewdoku on the iPhone where you want the ads gone.
- Tap the gear on the home screen to open Settings.
- Tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple Account you bought it with.
The purchase is tied to your Apple Account, not to me, so it comes back after a reinstall or on a new iPhone. If it does not, email me with the date of the purchase from your Apple receipt.
Deleting your data
Brewdoku has no account and sends me nothing, so all your game data is on your iPhone. Delete the app and it is gone from the phone; an iPhone backup you made earlier may still hold a copy until that backup is replaced. If you emailed me, ask and I will delete our emails too.
Common questions
When can I play Brewdoku?
Brewdoku is coming to iPhone and is not in the App Store yet. Android comes later, and there is no iPad version. Until then, you can play one on the home page.
How do the controls work?
Tap a spot to mark it with an X, and tap it again later to clear it. Double tap or hold a spot to place a cup, and tap a cup to lift it. Drag across spots to mark several at once. Undo takes back your last move; hold Undo to go back to before a mistake.
How do hints work?
Three steps. The first shows where to look and is free. Explain tells you why and costs one hint. Do it for me then makes the step. You start with three hints, get a free one every new day, and can watch a short video for three more if you like.
What are beans?
Your score for a puzzle. A level pays up to three beans. Each hint you pay for and each visible mistake costs one, and you always keep at least one. Replay a level any time to earn a better score.
How do the streak and the stamp card work?
Solve the Daily Brew on its own day and you get a stamp. Seven stamps in a row fill the card and earn a Coffee Filter. You can hold two filters, and a filter is used by itself on a day you miss.
I missed a day and lost my streak.
On the day you find the streak broken and the day after, you can repair it by watching a short video. If you start again instead, reach seven days within thirty days and your old streak is added back.
How many ads will I see?
Never during a puzzle and never after the Daily Brew. None in your first session or in the first fifteen levels. After that at most one every three puzzles, never two within four minutes, and no more than six in a day. Remove ads takes away the ads between puzzles; the optional videos for extra hints stay available, because you only see those when you ask.
Can I change my ad consent?
Where the consent form applies (the EEA, the UK and Switzerland), open Settings and tap Privacy choices to see the form again and change your answer.
I saw an ad that should not be there.
Open Settings and tap Report an ad. It opens an email to me with the time the last ad was shown, so I can look it up.
Is there a timer?
Only if you want one. Turn on Show time in Settings to see a clock while you play. There is no countdown either way.
I am colour-blind. Can I still play?
Yes. Turn on Patterns on tables in Settings and every table gets its own pattern next to its colour. You can try it on the puzzle on the home page.
Can Brewdoku remind me to play?
Yes, if you turn on Daily reminder in Settings. It is off until you do, and then it sends one gentle notification every day at 9:00 for the new Daily Brew.
Will my progress move to a new phone?
Brewdoku has no account and no cloud save, so your progress lives on your iPhone and is not synced between devices. An iPhone backup you make yourself may include it. A purchase to remove ads can always be restored, see above.
A puzzle seems to need a guess.
It should never happen: every puzzle has exactly one solution that logic can reach. Tap Hint to see the next step with its reason. If you still think something is off, email me the level number.
